'Rosie the Riveters' speak Oct. 6 on preserving life stories

Sharing the life stories of individuals and families is a great way to make history come alive. At the Oregon Historical Society, as part of the free Archives Crawl from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, three World War II "Rosie the Riveters" will tell their stories in a presentation by the Association of Personal Historians. APH members also will speak on the basics of preserving personal history.

The Archives Crawl will take place at four downtown Portland locations: the Portland Archives & Records Center, Portland State University Library, Multnomah County Central Library, and the Oregon Historical Society.
