Computer classes: April 2013

LO Computer Learning Center

* Online Purchasing with eBay and Amazon — Fridays, April 19 and April 26, 2:30-4 p.m., $16 members, $24 non-members.

n Beginning Excel — Wednesdays, May 1, 8, and 15, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., $22 members, $33 non-members.

* Editing Your Digital Photos — Wednesdays, April 3 and 10, 9-10:30 a.m., $16 members, $24 non-members.

* Introduction to iPad — Wednesday, April 10, and Friday, April 12, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., $16 members, $24 non-members.

* Introduction to Pinterest — Friday, May 3, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., $10 members, $15 non-members.

Multnomah County Library

The Multnomah County Library offers the following computer classes for beginners in April. The classes are free, but registration is required. Sign up online, at the library or by calling 503-988-5234.

Meet the Computer

Never tried a computer before? In this two-session course, you will meet the computer, the keyboard and the mouse, learn what they are and how to use them. No experience is necessary for you to take this relaxed, fun class. Offered by OASIS Connections, a national organization devoted to lifelong learning for adults over 50, this is an excellent class to take before Introduction to Computers (see below).

Introduction to Computers

In this six-session course, you will learn all the basic computer skills including using the mouse and keyboard, working in Microsoft Windows, using Microsoft Word, surfing the Internet and using email. This course is ideal for someone who has a little experience with the computer but wants to know more.
