Jubitz CEO named to Kennedy Center advisory committee
Frederick D. Jubitz of Portland, president and chief executive officer of Jubitz Corp., was named Thursday to the advisory committee on the arts of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
President Trump announced the nomination Thursday morning, Oct. 26. Jubitz joins seven other people as members of the advisory committee.
Jubitz Corp. is a family-owned truck stop and travel center at exit 307 on Interstate 5 in North Portland near Marine Drive.
Frederick Jubitz has served on the board of the National Association of Truck Stop Operators, was a director and chairman of America's Best Truck Stops and is a member of the Oregon Restaurant Association board.
In 2016, Jubitz donated about $17,750 to political groups, mostly to the NATSO political action committee and to U.S. Rep. Greg Walden's re-election campaign. Jubitz also donated about $8,000 to U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio's presidential campaign.
