Beaverton Lodge prepares for spring activities
As we wait for the warmer weather to arrive, I thought it would be the perfect time to reflect on what makes spring at Beaverton Lodge such a pleasure.
For starters, there are raised garden beds that sit along the property's outdoor space. At Beaverton Lodge, every green-thumbed senior who desires a bit of space to let things flower and grow gets their own assigned plot. The garden beds are raised a few feet off the ground, putting plants even closer to the sunlight (and making the work easier on our knees).
Even if you don't like to garden, everyone can enjoy the trickling, meandering burble of Beaverton Creek, which runs along one side of the lodge.
A walking path stretches along the creek and connects the lodge with the hiking paths that crisscross Beaverton. A bridge crosses the waterway as well, letting our residents stroll the adjoining property.
Ultimately, spring is a time for revival. Starting a whole new world of living is what Beaverton Lodge is all about. Whether it's our spacious, private apartments; the "Golden Gallery" for senior artists; our indoor mineral saline pool; or weekly excursions aboard our 32-passenger bus, there's something new to try for everyone at Beaverton Lodge.
