Safe seniors do this in the winter
After last year's storms, I think we are all a little wary over what may be ahead for us this year. But at Beaverton Lodge, we're prepared to help our residents handle all of the challenges that winter weather brings.
In the event of a winter power outage, we have surplus food and water for our residents and staff, and our super large generator can power most of the community, including both of our elevators, so our residents remain as mobile as ever.
Our chef and kitchen staff prepare three meals every day of the year (rain or shine!) for our residents, and you'll never have to worry about how you'll get to the grocery store—we will take you right to the front door twice a week.
Activity levels often go down in the winter as the weather forces us to hibernate, but when you're living at "The Lodge", you'll have plenty of in-house activities to keep you busy. We have many classes every week: Classical Music classes, Brain Booster classes, and Senior Fitness classes with our certified instructor every week, including water aerobics classes in our indoor, heated mineral saline pool.
There's also always something fun going on in our large Social Room. Whether you like Wii Bowling, playing card games, or listening to musical entertainers, there's always a buzz coming from that room. Our residents also love curling up next to our two cozy fireplaces to read either the newspaper or a book they've checked out from our 24 Hour Library.
And for any other winter weather challenges, we have resident managers on site 24/7. Stop by Beaverton Lodge today and see for yourself!
