by: COURTESY OF BEN WOOD PHOTOGRAPHY - Rachel Berry of Aloha was crowned Miss Oregon Saturday in Seaside.Aloha's Rachel Berry was crowned Miss Oregon Saturday in Seaside.

Berry, 24, is Miss Willamette Valley. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in fine arts in television and journalism from Chapman University.

For her talent performance of the pageant, Berry performed an energetic tap dance to Benny Goodman's "Sing Sing Sing."

When she was named to the top five contestants, Berry was asked onstage if she thought that Oregon should legalize marijuana. She answered that she understood there would be tax money to be earned from legalizing marijuana, but personally was drug free, because she did not believe that putting a foreign substance into her body was a good thing.

Eugene's Nichole Mead, 24, Miss Three Rivers, was named first runner up.
