Following up on a welfare check at a single-family residence early Monday afternoon, Beaverton police officers found a male and female deceased inside the home in the 16000 block of Southwest Whitebird Street.

The cause of death is under investigation, said Officer Mike Rowe, spokesman for the Beaverton Police Department.

A U.S. Postal Service mail carrier found a note in the mailbox of the residence that led her to be concerned about the occupants. She called Beaverton police, who dispatched officers to check on the occupants’ welfare. They entered the home and discovered the two bodies.
