City crews resurface four streets
Work will begin Monday and continue through Thursday
The city of Beaverton will resurface four streets between Monday, Sept. 24, to Thursday, Sept. 27.
Work will take place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and all streets will remain open to local traffic.
The streets that will be resurfaced include:
Southwest Cherryhill Drive (from 20th Street to 22nd Street)
Southwest Daphne Street (from Fisher Avenue to the end of the pavement)
Southwest Bucher Avenue (from Daphne Street to 20th Street)
Southwest 20th Street (from Wilson Avenue to the end of the pavement).
Motorists should expect delays in the area and are encouraged to take alternate routes.
"When our streets are in poor condition, it can impact response times for police, fire and EMTs," said Peter Arellano, public works director. "It's vital that we eliminate potholes to decrease road-base failures. Keeping up our roads helps provide the public with safer streets for driving, biking, walking or skateboarding."
