Business leaders collect undergarments for St. Mary's Home for Boys, Clothes Closet

Leadership Beaverton alumni are on a mission to collect undergarments and pajamas for underprivileged and at-risk youth in the community.

Members of the Beaverton Area Chamber of Commerce and graduates of its leadership program are volunteering their time during the next couple Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at the Cedar Hills Crossing Old Navy store.

Between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., shoppers will be encouraged to donate boxer shorts and boys pajamas for St Mary’s Home for Boys and girls and women’s underwear for the Beaverton School District Clothes Closet.

The community is invited to support the holiday giving effort and stop by the store to donate new clothing items or make a monetary donation.

Tax-deductible receipts will be available for those who request them.

Look for the donation barrel and table just as you enter Old Navy.

Most needed sizes are adult medium, large and extra large boxer shorts; women’s underwear in sizes 5 to 8 and pajamas for boys ages 10 to 17.
