Two suspects sought in armed robbery of Plaid Pantry

Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies are asking for the public’s help in their search for two suspects in an early Wednesday morning armed robbery of the Plaid Pantry store, 20925 S.W. Tualatin Valley Highway in Aloha.

Deputies were called to the store about 3:43 a.m., when the store clerk said two men entered the store and one of them threatened him with a gun. The clerk handed over a very small amount of money, and the suspects ran out of the store. The clerk was not injured during the robbery.

Deputies obtained video from the surveillance system, which showed a Hispanic male, about 25 years old, 5-foot, 7-inches tall, wearing a blue shirt, black pants and white shoes. Footage also revealed a black male, about 25 years old, 6 feet tall, wearing blue jeans, a gray zip-up hooded jacket and black shoes. Deputies investigating the robbery believe that the suspects fled in an older model white, four-door sedan, possibly a Honda, said Sgt. Bob Ray, a sheriff’s office spokesman.

The Washington County Violent Crimes Unit is assisting with the investigation.

Anyone with information regarding robbery are asked to call the sheriff’s office at 503-846-2500.
