Shred-It event supports Southridge grad night

Are you buried under a mountain of paperwork? Don’t risk your personal and professional information by throwing it away — shred it.

The Southridge High School Grad Night Committee is hosting a shredding event Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Greenway Town Center in the Lambs on Scholls Thriftway parking lot at the corner of Southwest Scholls Ferry Road and 121st Avenue.

People are invited to bring old bills, credit card offers, resumes, old tax records and other documents with sensitive information to shred.

Items will be shredded until the shredding truck is full.

Participants are asked to donate $5 per grocery bag or banker’s box filled with items to shred.

Proceeds will support Southridge’s grad night festivities.
