Beaverton officers were dispatched at 6 p.m. on a report that a male suspect had robbed a food kiosk in the park near the Beaverton City Library at Southwest Fifth Street and Hall Boulevard and physically assaulted the clerk. Paul allegedly grabbed some cash from the register, ran behind the city library where his car was parked, then fled the area in a black Subaru Forester. The clerk was not seriously injured.

There were a number of witnesses to this crime who were in the park, some of whom took photographs of the suspect and his vehicle. Armed with photographs, officers searched he area for the Paul. A Beaverton officer driving by the Franklin House Apartments on Southwest Franklin Avenue saw a car that matched the vehicle in the pictures, Rowe said. The photographs provided matched Paul's driver's license.

Identifying the owner of this vehicle as Paul, he was arrested without incident and booked into the Washington County Jail.
