Aloha man wanted on outstanding warrants

Following a short search on Saturday afternoon, Washington County sheriff's deputies apprehended an alleged fugitive after he was located in an Aloha park.

Washington County sheriff's deputies responded to Rosa Park, at Southwest 195th Avenue and Rosa Road in Aloha just after 4 p.m. on a tip that a wanted man was at the park. Upon arrival, the fugitive, Benjamin Kneeper (aka Scott Kneeper), 42, of Aloha saw the deputies and fled the WASHINGTON COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE  - Benjamin Kneeper was arrested Saturday on outstanding warrants.

With the assistance of the Hillsboro Police Department, deputies set up containment in the area to capture the suspect. A police K9 assisted and deputies were able to locate and arrest Kneeper on outstanding warrants for parole violation and a fugitive warrant from the state of Washington. In addition to the warrants, he faces two accusations of second-degree criminal trespass and two accusations of interfering with a police officer, said Sgt. Vance Stimler, spokesman for the sheriff's office.

Kneeper did not resist arrest when deputies caught up with him. The incident from initial contact to arrest lasted about 45 minutes.He was then transported and lodged in the Washington County Jail.
