Man fled area with unknown amount of cash around 2 a.m. on Tuesday

Beaverton police are asking for the public's help in identifying a robbery suspect after an employee of the Dotty's Deli at 2654 S.W. Cedar Hills Blvd. reported he was robbed at gunpoint by a masked suspect early Tuesday morning.

Beaverton police responded at 2:05 a.m. Tuessday to a report of an armed robbery that just occurred at the business. The employee said he was outside having a smoke when the suspect approached him, put a gun in his back and led him back into the business, where the suspect took an undisclosed amount of money from the business and fled. With the help of a police K9 track, officers searched the area but didn't locate the suspect, said Sgt. Jim Shumway, spokesman for the Beaverton Police Department.

The employee described the suspect as a darker-skinned male who spoke with an Hispanic accent, approximately 5-feet, 8-inches tall with a thin build, wearing a black hoody style sweatshirt pulled up over his head, dark pants and a dark bandana that he had pulled over his face. The gun was described as all black and smaller in size.
