Night Out event encourages neighborhood involvement

Hosted by the Neighbors Southwest Neighborhood Association Committee, the sixth annual Neighbors Night Out will be held Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. in the parking lots of Big Al’s, 19450 S.W. Barrows Road.

Neighbors and visitors are encouraged to stop by to enjoy music, art displays and free refreshments.

“If you haven’t had a chance to meet your neighbors and local businesses, I encourage you to attend Neighbors Night Out,” said Mayor Denny Doyle. “This laid back, family-friendly event is a great setting to make some new acquaintances and learn more about your NAC.”

Neighbors Night Out is made possible each year through the city of Beaverton’s Neighborhood Matching Grant Program. The program provides funding to each of the city’s 11 Neighborhood Association Committees for community building projects, events and activities.
