Washington County sheriff’s deputies nabbed six people in a prostitution sting last week.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI conducted the undercover operation held Thursday, Sept. 19, at an undisclosed hotel on Southwest Canyon Road in Beaverton.

According to Washington County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Sgt. David Thompson, deputies have noticed a rise in prostitution-related activity in the area.

Thompson said deputies posed as clients and responded to personal ads on local escort web pages.

When the women arrived for a meeting at the hotel, they were arrested and charged with prostitution. The suspects were identified as Erianna Jones, 18, of Portland; Cherish Crone, 30, of Portland; Aleigha Self, 20, of Portland; Lakeshia Rivers, 18, of Portland; and Yaminah Oddie-Johnson, 21, of Aloha.

Two men were also arrested. Todd Rutherfod, 22, of Portland faces charges of promoting prostitution.

A seventh person, Terrel Lowery, 33, of Portland was arrested on a warrant out of Multnomah County that was unrelated to prostitution.

All seven people were lodged in the Washington County Jail.
