Tip leads deputies to arrest two robbery suspects
Washington County Sheriff's deputies arrested two people Wednesday morning after learning suspects in a Beaverton robbery last week may be located in an apartment near Southwest Canyon Road.
Investigators received information early Wednesday morning regarding the location of several suspects from a robbery of Beaverton residence on Saturday. They responded to an apartment in the 4000 block of Southwest 107th Avenue in the Raleigh Hills area to see if they could locate the suspects.
Learning there were possibly firearms in the apartment, the Washington County Tactical Negotiations Team was called in. With the team in place, deputies used a loudspeaker to order the occupants out of the apartment.
Two women and one man came out quickly and were detained. A fourth person, a male, refused to come out of the apartment, but finally gave up about 45 minutes later without further incident. He was also detained for questioning, said Sgt. David Thompson, sheriff's office spokesman.
Detectives interviewed the four detained subjects, eventually arresting two and releasing the other two. Hannah Bazzi, 18, and Christopher Kastrop, 22, were both taken to the Washington County Jail and processed on accusations of first-degree robbery.
Detectives continue to investigate the robbery and are interested in hearing from anyone who has any information regarding the crime. Call the sheriff's office at 503-629-0111.
