Deputies seek three suspects in robbery, assault at womans home
Resident said a man knocked her down, drove off with pressure washer
A Washington County woman said she was assaulted Sunday night when she interrupted three men stealing a pressure washer from her yard.
Washington County Sheriff's deputies responded to a robbery call in the 700 block of Southwest Murray Boulevard in Washington County around 8:10 p.m. Sunday. The 30-year-old woman told deputies her dog started to bark, so she looked outside and saw a red-haired man in her driveway and a dark-colored, older-model Ford Explorer with someone sitting in its passenger seat.
The woman said the red-haired man shoved her in the face, causing her to fall and hit her head. He started to enter the house, but she called for her husband. The suspect turned around and fled with the other two suspects in the Explorer, taking the pressure washer with them, said Sgt. David Thompson, sheriff's office spokesman.
She described the man as a white male in his 20s, about six-feet tall, weighing about 165 pounds. He had a red beard and was wearing a black baseball cap, a dark fleece jacket and blue jeans.
She described another man in her yard as a white male in his 20s, about 6-feet, 3-inches tall and weighing about 180 pounds, Thompson reported. He was wearing a maroon T-shirt and blue jeans.
Detectives are asking the public's help in identifying the three suspects involved in this robbery and assault. Those with information are asked to call the sheriff's office at 503-846-2524.
