Beaverton officers responded at about 1:41 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, to a report of a domestic disturbance in the neighborhood. There they confronted a man armed with a large knife, and shots were fired, said Officer Mike Rowe, police department spokesman.

It is unclear what led to the shooting, Rowe said.

Roadblocks closed the area around the shooting during the investigation by the Washington County Major Crimes Team.
