Beaverton motorcyclist killed in Cedar Hills Boulevard crash

Adam Jarman, 35, was thrown from his motorycle and struck by a vehicle


by: BEAVERTON POLICE DEPARTMENT - A motorcycle driven by Adam Jarman, 35, of Beaverton, crashed into the rear of a vehicle on Monday morning and propelled Jarman to the pavement, where he was struck by another vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.A Beaverton man died Monday morning in a crash involving a motorcycle and two vehicles near the intersection of Southwest Cedar Hills Boulevard and Walker Road.

Adam Jarman, 35, was pronounced dead at the scene around 8:30 a.m., after he was thrown from his red motorcycle near Huntington Avenue and struck by a northbound silver Mazda.

Jarman was riding northbound in the right lane of Cedar Hills Boulevard when he attempted to pass a vehicle. He entered the left lane, where a red Volkswagen was stopped to turn left onto Huntington. The motorcycle struck the rear of the Volkswagen, propelling Jarman off the cycle. He slid onto the pavement in the right northbound lane, where the Mazda struck him, said Officer Mike Rowe, spokesman for the Beaverton Police Department.

Jarman sustained major injuries in the collision and was pronounced deceased at the scene. His next of kin were notified.

The drivers of the two vehicles were not injured, and there was no medical transport from the crash scene.

Cedar Hills Boulevard north of Walker Road was closed to traffic for several hours while the Beaverton Police Department and members of the Washington County Crash Analysis Reconstruction Team investigated the crash.
