May 23 investigation led to two arrests on various charges

A Beaverton Police Department investigation into sex trafficking led to the arrest of a Molalla woman and a Vancouver woman on Wednesday in WASHINGTON COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE - Erica Dana Lummus

Erica Dana Lummus, 23, and Italia Angelique Porter, 24, were arrested on June 4 and transported to the Washington County Jail in Hillsboro for booking.

Beaverton police detectives started a sex trafficking investigation on May 23, locating Lummus when she arrived at a local motel to engage in WASHINGTON COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE - Italia Angelique Porter Shortly after detectives contacted Lummus, they contacted a 17-year-old girl at the motel who was connected with Lummus. Evidence and statements collected at the scene led detectives to believe Lummus and Porter engaged the girl in sex trafficking, said Officer Jeremy Shaw, Beaverton Police Department spokesman.

The 17-year-old was found to a have protective custody warrant out of Bakersfield, Calif., and had been missing since January.

Lummus and Porter were indicted by a federal grand jury on accusations of sex trafficking of a minor, transportation of a minor for prostitution and violation of the Mann Act.
