16-year-old girl is seriously injured after being struck by vehicle

Girl reportedly ran across Hall Boulevard against the light

At about 7:30 p.m. on July 10, Beaverton police responded to a crash scene along Southwest Hall Boulevard at the Southwest Greenway intersection.

According to Beaverton police spokesman Officer Mike Rowe, a 16-year-old girl, who was not identified, reportedly ran across Hall Boulevard against a light and was struck by a vehicle traveling on a green light.

"The driver has cooperated with police and did not contribute to this tragic incident," Rowe said.

Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue crews responded to the scene, and the girl was transported by ambulance to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center for treatment.

The injury crash closed the intersection and delayed traffic in the area as the investigation continued and the scene was cleared.
