The play just completed its run at Southridge High School on Saturday

PMG PHOTO: MILES VANCE - Southridge High School's production of 'The Addams Family. A New Musical Comedy' included (from left) Devon Farmer as Fester, Sarah Park as Pugsley, Jakob Schwab as Lurch, Nathan Parrott as Gomez, Morgan Fredericks as Morticia and Lorna Baxter as Wednesday. The play concluded its run on Saturday at Southridge."They're creepy and they're kooky, mysterious and spooky, they're altogether ooky, The Addams Family. "

The words from the theme song to "The Addams Family" live on, even now, more than 50 years after the show completed its three-year run.

And why not? It's not every day you get to use the word "ooky."

Southridge High School certainly agrees with those sentiments, that after its Skyhawk Theatre closed the 10-day run of "The Addams Family. A New Musical Comedy" on Saturday.

In the play, Wednesday Adams (played by Lorna Baxter) has just turned 18 and fallen in love with a normal boy, Lucas (played by Isaac O'Farrell).

To say the least, this kind of normalcy doesn't go over well with Wednesday's parents, Gomez (Nathan Parrott) and Morticia (Morgan Fredericks), Uncle Fester (Devon Farmer) or the rest of the clan.
