An ACLU report on the state's criminal justice system will be the topic in January.

The Willamette Women Democrats will discuss a report on Oregon's criminal justice system at a meeting from 4 to 6 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 11, at the Celebrate Conference Center, 15555 S.W. Bangy Road, Lake Oswego.Daniel Lewkow

Daniel Lewkow will discuss the American Civil Liberty Union's "They Report to You" campaign, an initiative to make Oregon's criminal justice system more effective, fair and accountable. Lewkow is the manager of the "They Report to You" campaign for ACLU of Oregon. He has been the finance director for several campaigns, most recently at Common Cause, and has experience in managing large-scale campaigns.

The event is open to the public. The cost is $15 for members; $20.00 for non-members. Light refreshments will be served. Respond by noon on Monday, Jan. 8, by going to the organization's website or by calling 503-656-4445.

The Willamette Women Democrats, or W2D, is a locally organized, non-profit, progressive organization established to provide informative programs, promote progressive policies and encourage women to be politically active.
