Bring your dancing shoes and appetite to the New Seasons’ Beaverton Last Tuesday summertime series, presented by the city of Beaverton and the Beaverton Arts Commission.

The 10th annual series features music, food and art at The Round at Beaverton Central's Fountain Plaza, 12600 S.W. Crescent St.

Join your neighbors for the first of three, free outdoor concerts from 5 to 8 p.m. on the last Tuesday of the month.

This week's concert features Aaron Meyer and his six-piece band. A classical violinist since he was 5, Meyer's unique brand of music bridges world, contemporary, progressive rock and classical genres.by: SUBMITTED PHOTO - Rock violinist Aaron Meyer and his six-piece band will kick off Beaverton's Last Tuesday 10th annual concert series this week.

Restaurants Mio Sushi, Mingo’s and Planet Thai will offer indoor and outdoor dining. Concert-goers can also visit Mingo’s to view the monthly rotating art display.

“What a milestone for this fun summer series,” said Beaverton Mayor Denny Doyle. “I encourage everyone to come down to The Round and enjoy great music and lively dancing.”

July's featured artist is Five Guys Named Moe. In August, Beaverton Last Tuesday welcomes Todd Haaby and Band.

To make each night a true celebration of the arts, dance demonstrations will be presented during band intermissions, including belly dancer Emily Alrick in June, Painted Sky/Northstar Dance Company honoring Native American culture in July and the Kalabharathi School of Dance celebrating East Indian dance in August.

Parking is available off of Southwest Cedar Hills Boulevard at Westgate Drive in the former Westgate Theater lot.
