Canby optometrist Ashley McFerron was awarded the 2013 Young Optometric Physician of the Year award given by the Oregon Optometric Physicians Association at the OOPA annual meeting recently.
McFerron earned her award in recognition of her service to the profession of optometry and her work in the community of Canby.
She earned her bachelor of science from the University of Tulsa in 2003 and her doctorate of optometry in 2008 from Oklahoma College of Optometry at Northeastern State University.
In October 2011, McFerron bought Canby Eyecare. She is a member of the Oregon Optometric Physicians Association and the American Optometric Association, and currently serves on the Oregon Optometric Physicians Association board of directors as the membership director.
