The Aurora-Butteville-Barlow Community Planning Organization will hold an emergency preparedness presentation at the Wilsonville campus of Clackamas Community College, 29353 SW Town Center Loop E., on Tuesday, Oct. 15, at 7 p.m. in Room 207.
Greg Leo, a director of the Aurora Fire District board and West Livaudais, a vascular surgeon and advisor to the Disaster Committee of the American College of Surgeons, will discuss ways that individuals and households can prepare for disasters and other interruptions of public services. Emphasis of this meeting will be on what can be done to prepare.
The state of Oregon has recently released The Oregon Resiliency Plan, which indicates longer service recovery times than generally thought in wake of a major earthquake or other major event.
