Final concert hits Canby on April 22


Jesse Lynch will play Canby with the Jesse Lynch Trio on Tuesday, April 22.The final 2013-14 Canby Community Concert Series offering is coming up Tuesday, April 22, at the Richard R. Brown Fine Arts Center.

The Jesse Lynch Trio will hit the stage at 7:30 p.m. Open seating tickets are available for $25 at the door. The drawing for the 2014-15 pre-series sales Oregon Garden Resort prize will take place just before this concert begins.

Jesse Lynch is a performer, composer, arranger, improviser and educator — a New York City pianist with international touring experience, regularly performing a number of musical styles. From Beethoven to bop to free jazz and contemporary composition, Lynch straddles the spectrum of musical innovation and tradition. With a home base in Manhattan, he currently tours with the Jesse Lynch Trio.

A 2004 alumnus of Oberlin Conservatory, he studied both jazz and classical modalities and has an extensive professional history as a vocal and instrumental accompanist.

He has toured the United Sates with multiple artists, notably with Daniel Rodriguez and also the American Tenors, and has toured internationally in New Zealand.

Projects include collaboration with Grammy award winner, Charlie Neville, TriBeca music-theater-dance project called "Water in the Desert," music directing and piano for the upcoming radio show "Club 86," playing in Hollywood for an Oscars party, and playing in the 2010 New Zealand Winter festival in Queenstown.

From 2005 to 2010, he made regular appearances at the beautiful and historic Ahwahnee Hotel in Yosemite National Park.

There he played solo and with his trio. Lynch also toured Europe and America, playing funk music with artist Sonnyboy.
