Summer reading program still has full slate of activities in July and August

This year's Canby Public Library’ Summer Reading Program will run through Aug. 8. During that time, movies, jugglers, bugs and more will show up as part of the program.

The Teen Summer Reading Program, “Spark a Reaction,” will offer several programs throughout the summer.

June 25 – From 6-7 p.m. Science Night

July 2 – from 6-8 p.m. Game and pizza night.

July 9 – from 6-8 p.m. Teen movie night with “Catching Fire.”

July 16 – from 6-8 p.m. Dr. Who trivia night. Make your own Tardis

July 23 – from 6-8 p.m. Your choice teen movie night.

July 30 – from 6-7 p.m. Science night with slime, slushies and Oreos.

The reading program will also have science camps July 22, 23, 25, 29, 30 and Aug. 1 and 3 p.m. Book Babies Storytime will be each Wednesday 10:30 a.m., while Spanish storytime is each Saturday at 11 a.m.

There will also be other special programs during the Summer Reading Program.

June 20 – 11 a.m. Jugglemania

June 26 – 6:30 p.m. I Wonder Why…Tales

June 27 – 11 a.m. Greta Pedersen: Science of Sound

July 10 – 6 p.m. Movie night

July 11 – 11 a.m. Whiz, Bang, Boom, Professor Gabby’s in the Room

July17 – 6 p.m. Movie night (Spanish)

July 18 – 11 a.m. The Bug Chicks

July 24 – 6:30 p.m. Red Yarn: Deep Woods Naturalist

July25 – 11 a.m. Brad Clark Storysong

Aug. 1 -- 11 a.m. Naftali; Story Voyager

Aug. 7 — 6:30 p.m. Legos at the Library
