The 8-hour mega sale that will be held this Friday, Jan. 13 only

The Central Oregonian and the Madras Pioneer will be having an 8-Hour Mega Sale this Friday, Jan. 13 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., only! If you do not want to wait until then, just call us this week, but don't procrastinate — the savings ends at 5 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 13.

Just what is the 8-Hour Mega Sale? It is a chance for all businesses that have a customer base in Crook or Jefferson county to market in either or both newspapers starting with the Tuesday, Jan. 17 publication through the Friday, March 3, 2017, publication with a savings of up to 60 percent off. It is an affordable way to purchase a quarter, half or full page ad, move inventory out the door, and do it in any or all publications between Jan. 17 and March 3, 2017. That is 14 publications of the Central Oregonian and seven publications of the Madras Pioneer.

Is there a catch? Yes, of course there is, but all you have to do is contact us before 5 p.m., on Friday, Jan. 13, and let us know what size ad(s) you want to place and in which papers you would like to place them. That is it, so hardly a catch at all. You can even add full color at a discounted rate.

The Central Oregonian publishes every Tuesday and Friday, while the Madras Pioneer publishes every Wednesday.

Need more information? Check out the ad in today's Central Oregonian on page A4 or A10 or just give Heidi Howard or Teresa Tooley a call at 541-447-6205, and we can go over all the details with you, work with your budget, target your customers, and help you save money at the same time.

"What's Brewing?" will be held from 7 to 8 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11 at Meadow Lakes Restaurant, 300 SW Meadow Lakes Drive. This week, Steve Lent, local historian and author of the book series "Central Oregon Place Names," will be telling humorous and interesting tales behind Central Oregon places and landmarks and the story behind their names.

Prineville Perk will be hosted by the Crook County Fire & Rescue on Friday, Jan. 13 from 8 to 8:30 a.m. at fire hall located at 500 NE Belknap St. For more information on Prineville Perk, contact the Chamber of Commerce at 541-447-6304.
