Crooked River Roundup gets underway

Eleven-time world all-around champion Trevor Brazile is scheduled to perform at this year's roundup


The 2014 Crooked River Roundup kicked off this morning with an 11 a.m. slack performance.

The Rodeo continues tonight with a 7 p.m. performance. Following tonight's performance will be a slack barrel racing go round. Those attending tonight's rodeo performance are encouraged to stay for the barrel racing as several of the top barrel racers in the Women's Professional Rodeo Association are scheduled to appear.by: LON AUSTIN/CENTRAL OREGONIAN - Dayton (left) and Austin (right) Stafford compete in Friday morning's slack performance. The duo had a time of 13.0 seconds, good enough for fourth in the go round so far.

The rodeo continues with another slack performance Saturday morning followed by Saturday night's performance which is also scheduled for 7 p.m.

Sunday features slack at 8 a.m. with the afternoon performance set for 2 p.m.

Several past and present world champions are entered in this year's rodeo including 11-time all-around champion Trevor Brazile. Eleven other contestants who are currently among the top 30 career money winners in the PRCA are also scheduled to appear.
