BCC ADDS SATURDAY NIGHT SERVICE TO WEEKLY LINEUP
BEAVERTON - Beaverton Christian Church, 13600 S.W. Allen Blvd. has added a Saturday night worship service in addition to the Sunday services at 9:15 and 11 a.m.
The service, called 'Saturday 601' because it starts at 6:01 p.m., is said to be slightly different than the Sunday morning services because it has a more casual atmosphere.
BEAVERTON BAHA'I OPENS NEW CENTER AT MURRAY
BEAVERTON - The Beaverton Baha'i community invites the public to celebrate with them the opening of the new center at 5355 S.W. Murray Blvd.
An open house will be held on Saturday, July 22, from 1 to 5 p.m. Those attending will tour the building, learn of coming events and enjoy refreshments.

TUALATIN UMC PREPS FOR ANNUAL GIANT GARAGE SALE
TUALATIN - Tualatin United Methodist Church, 20200 S.W. Martinazzi Ave., will host a giant garage sale the weekend of Aug. 4 and 5.
The sale will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. It is open to everyone and will include hundreds of items of all kinds.
TIGARD COVENANT BRINGS 'SONTREASURE ISLAND'
TIGARD - Tigard Covenant Church, 11321 S.W. Naeve St., will host a weeklong Vacation Bible School for children entering kindergarten through grade 5.
The theme of the Bible school is 'Sontreasure Island,' and it will run from 9 a.m. to noon, July 24-27.
The week concludes with a community-wide carnival open to all and free of charge, running from 5 to 8 p.m. on July 27. The evening carnival will feature live jazz entertainment, barbecue dinner and games and activities.

TIGARD UMC HELPS CHILDREN FIND TREASURE
TIGARD - Tigard United Methodist Church, 845 S.W. Walnut Place, will be hosting 'The Treasure Seekers' Vacation Bible School on July 24-28.
Children age 4 through grade 5 are invited to come daily from 9 to 11:45 a.m. to enjoy stories, music, crafts, games and snacks. Pre-registration is helpful, and the cost is $10 per child.

VILLAGE BAPTIST CHURCH HOSTS CLASSIC CAR SHOW
BEAVERTON - Village Baptist Church, 330 S.W. Murray Blvd. in Beaverton, will be the site of a classic car cruise-in on Saturday, Aug. 5.
The show will last from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., with all proceeds benefiting Northwest Medical Teams and their Hurricane Katrina relief efforts.
The entry fee is $10 per car and includes a barbecue lunch for two if entry is received by July 21. Walk-ins and spectators are free.
All types of vehicles are welcome, including antiques, classics, motorcycles, muscle cars, street rods and customs. There will also be a raffle, barbecue lunch ($5 per person) and awards for a number of different categories.
