Local youths sing in France

The Oregon Youth Chorale has just completed a two-week performance tour throughout France, where they presented concerts and liturgies in Paris at Notre Dame Cathedral and the Church of San Sulpice, as well as in various churches and cathedrals in the Loire Valley, Nimes, Cannes and Nice.

The Chorale is one of three choirs of the Oregon Children's Choir and Youth Chorale. Led by founder and director Sandra Miller, the three choirs rehearse weekly in Lake Oswego. The 37 singers, ages 14 through 18, who represent local high schools include:

- Riverdale High School - Charlotte Leasia

- Lakeridge High School - John Cox, Laurie Fullmer, Trish Iredale, Meghan King, Monica Marcus

- Lake Oswego High School - Brittany Anderson, Olivia Baker, Brandon Best, Ross Clemson, Joey Freedman, Lindsay Fuson, Scott Fuson, Danielle Meeker, Sam Peaslee, Daniel Plafcan, Paige Rohner, Courtney Watson, Trevor Weiss

- West Linn High School - Matthew Crawford, Jennifer Friedman, Madison Garner, Emily Kara, Anna Koll, C.J. Koll, Alex Namhie and Courtney Solem.

Lake Oswego resident Katy Peaslee, who attends St. Mary's High School, has sung with the choir for 10 years during every international concert tour.

Singers also attend Wilsonville, Tualatin, Jesuit and Wilson high schools.
