Former Gresham resident Dolores 'Doe' Marie Roderick, 81, died Sunday, July 16, in Tualatin. A funeral Mass was held Friday, July 21, at St. Henry Catholic Church, Gresham.
Doe was born June 29, 1925, in Belcourt, N.D., to William and Marie DeLorme. She was raised and educated in North Dakota.
In 1941, she moved to Oregon and worked in the shipyards during World War II.
Doe married Richard Roderick. They later divorced.
She worked on the production line for Owens-Illinois. She retired July 1, 1991.
Doe spent most of her life in Gresham. She moved to Sherwood last year.
Doe was an avid sports fan and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, traveling to the Oregon Coast and playing bingo.
Doe was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandy Erzen; son, Gary Roderick; and sisters, Lorraine Walker and Madge Nepper. Survivors include her sisters, Corky Wilson of Portland, Carey Davis of Vancouver, Wash., Annette Gilbert of Gresham and Sharon Wagner of Hillsboro; brother, Buzz DeLorme of Portland; and three grandchildren.
