Gresham resident Josie Estella Curzon, 82, died Monday, July 17, in New Jersey.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 28, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3600 S.E. 182nd Ave. Interment will be at Willamette National Cemetery, 11800 S.E. Mount Scott Blvd., Portland.
She was born June 5, 1924, in Inkom, Idaho, to John Ernest and Mary Irene (Romrieall) Andrews. She was raised and educated in Inkom, where she graduated from high school.
On Oct. 7, 1942, Josie married Orville A. Curzon in Pocatello, Idaho. They made their home in Southern California, where she worked in the shipyards during World War II. In 1967, they moved to Oregon and lived in Estacada, Gresham and Rockwood.
Josie was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed genealogy, reading, gardening, and spending time with her family.
In February 2006, Josie was preceded in death by her husband. Survivors include her sons, Jim Curzon of Salem, John Curzon of Longview, Wash., and Vernon Curzon of Livermore, Calif.; daughter, Irene Vietzke of Portland; brother, Vernon Andrews of Weiser, Idaho; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
