Trial date for Parker postponed

A new trial date has been set for West Linn developer Jeff Parker.

Parker is now scheduled to appear in Lake Oswego Municipal Court on Aug. 28 at 9 a.m. to face citations brought against him on his controversial development on North Shore Road.

Originally, his trial was scheduled to begin Friday.

The city stopped work on the site in early May, citing multiple tree code violations, including removal of the roots of protected trees. The city has issued citations for eight violations involving four trees on the site. One of those trees must be removed.

Penalties associated with the citations include a $20,100 restoration fee and $455 enforcement fee for the removal, along with $8,000 in fines for violations involving all four trees.

The final total may be subject to reduction by the judge.
