Two residents of Inner Southeast Portland graduated from Reed College at commencement ceremonies this year. Daniel Neveldson Chevalier, son of Ms. Nancy R. Chevalier of the Reed neighborhood, received the Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology.

Devon Wade Granmo, son of Mr. Stephen Granmo and Mrs. Marti Granmo of Eastmoreland, received the Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre. President Colin Diver presented the degrees.

Reed College notes that it is 'among the top three American colleges and universities in percentage of graduates who go on to earn a doctorate, and has produced more Rhodes scholars (31 since 1915) than all but one liberal arts college'
