Gresham resident Kayleen Joan Petersen, 64, died Saturday, July 29, in Gresham.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 3, at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home, 520 W. Powell Blvd., Gresham. A celebration of life will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 4, at Sandy Baptist Church, 34435 S.E. Jarl Road, Boring.
Kayleen was born June 24, 1942, in St. Paul, Minn., to Earl H. and Gladys Lorraine (Fletcher) Rymerson. She was raised and educated in St. Paul, where she graduated from Washington High School in 1960.
On April 29, 1961, Kayleen married Jerald D. Petersen in St. Paul. She worked various jobs in St. Paul and taught piano lessons at her home. In 1984, Kayleen moved to Gresham. She worked as a receptionist for the Albertina Kerr Center in Portland from 1990 to 2000.
Kayleen was a member of Sandy Baptist Church and had been a member of a bowling league in St. Paul. She enjoyed cooking, camping and putting together photo albums.
Survivors include her husband of Gresham; daughters, Natalie Graf of St. Croix Beach, Minn., Jeri Reynoldson of Gresham and Nancy Nelson of Clear Lake, Wis.; brother, Doug Rymerson of St. Paul; and seven grandchildren.
Bateman Carroll Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
