East County resident Sara Jean Zitting, 25, died of complications from cystic fibrosis Sunday, July 30, in Portland. A celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 2, at Rocky Butte State Park, Portland.
Sara was born July 27, 1981, in Lawton, Okla. She was raised by Tom and Teresa Zitting and attended schools in Spokane, Wash., Wenatchee, Wash., Portland and Gresham.
Sara worked as a barista. She enjoyed music, reading, shopping and spending time with her friends and family, particularly her nieces and nephews.
Survivors include her parents, Tom and Teresa Zitting of Gresham; father, Tony Vidrine of Tacoma, Wash.; brothers, Kyle Vidrine of Missoula, Mont., and John Zitting and Keith Zitting, both of Gresham; sisters, Jessica Pierce of Gresham, Kymberly Zitting of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, Tomi Zitting of Wenatchee and Tamra Zitting of Spokane; grandparents, Chuck and Sally Wessling of Spokane, Carl Zitting of Utah, Doris Pulsipher of Wenatchee and Fran Vidrine of Tacoma.
