Man charged in sexual assault in office
Lake Oswego Police arrested a 59-year-old man for sex abuse Aug. 2 on charges that he sexually assaulted a female co-worker at an office building on Kruse Way Place during working hours.
Police arrested Robert Lowry, Portland, days after a female co-worker reported that he grabbed her from behind, pinned her against a copy machine and 'made contact with her several times,' according to Don Forman, a captain with the Lake Oswego Police.
Lowry was charged with third-degree sex abuse and harassment and was cited and released.
'Behavior like that is not acceptable and it runs afoul of criminal statutes,' Forman said.
He said the sexual assault report, the first of its kind from a Kruse Way workplace, was 'certainly not' typical of crime reports from the business area.
