Larry L. Stoffer

East County resident Larry L. Stoffer, 56, died Sunday, July 30, in Portland. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, at Smith Memorial Presbyterian Church, 2420 N.E. Fairview Ave., Fairview. Private interment will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Gresham.

Larry was born Dec. 7, 1949, in Portland to Del and Maxine (Anderson) Stoffer. He was raised and educated in Troutdale, where he graduated from 1968 Reynolds High School.

He enlisted in the Navy in 1971. He was honorably discharged.

Larry returned to East County to work with the public utilities department for Wood Village. He was also the supervisor of the wastewater department for Gresham.

Larry loved to hunt, fish and play billiards. He also enjoyed cooking and camping.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Dale Stoffer, in 1993.

Survivors include his mother and brother, Darryl Stoffer, both of Gresham.

Gresham Funeral Chapel is handling arrangements.
