I'm a resident of Cedar Hills and would greatly enjoy a Wal-Mart store going in my area.
It seems the problem with the traffic has to do with all the new housing construction going on in the Forest Heights and Cedar Hills area. Thousands of people are flocking out that way monthly.
No one seems to be opposing the new home construction, yet it just goes on and on and on and on. The people that purchase those homes have created, and are part of, the increase traffic in the Cedar Hills area.
Safety is not an issue. Uneducated people opposed to the idea of a Wal-Mart store is the issue. Where were all the people when the Albertson's store/mini mall went in?
It's evident that a better intersection would be included in the construction of the store to accommodate the flow. If you want to stop the increase in traffic, stop buying and building homes in the area I have called home for many years.
Last night's decision was nothing more than political. Keep up the fight Wal-Mart. I will continue to shop in your great stores.
