Barlow is the only Mount Hood Conference team to survive the nonleague season unscathed. The Bruins capped the 3-0 start with a 31-28 overtime win at Clackamas last week and will open the league season against Sandy at Mt. Hood Community College on Friday night. The Bruins are ranked 10th in the latest state poll.

Hood River is the league's newest member and is also the only other team with a winning record in the nonleague season. The Eagles will play at Gresham on Friday.

The Mount Hood Conference went a combined 9-10 (.474) in nonleague action with Centennial and David Douglas searching for their first wins. Centennial hosts Reynolds this week, while David Douglas is at home against preseason favorite Central Catholic. All games start at 7 p.m.
