Pacific ended a five-match losing streak last Wednesday with a sweep of visiting Evergreen State in non-conference volleyball action.

The Boxers (3-9) controlled play from the outset against Evergreen State, eventually cruising to a 30-19, 31-29, 30-21 victory.

Pacific never trailed in Game 1 and led by as many as 16 points in Game 3 before Evergreen State charged back and made it 24-20. Pacific's starters, many of whom had subbed out of the game, re-entered and put the finishing touches on the convincing win.

Megan Van Domelen led Pacific with 13 kills. Megan Dunn had a double-double of 12 kills and 10 digs, while Anela Iseke added 39 assists and 13 digs.

The excitement of Wednesday's win would be short-lived, however, as the Boxers dropped a pair of Northwest Conference matches over the weekend.

Pacific fell 22-30, 27-30, 23-30 to Pacific Lutheran at home on Friday, then dropped a 19-30, 26-30, 19-30 decision to Puget Sound on Saturday.

Jill Peacock led Pacific with eight kills on Friday against Pacific Lutheran. Kati McGinn paced the Lutes with 15 kills.

Peacock was the top hitter for Pacific again on Saturday, registering 12 kills. Monica Groves led the way for Puget Sound with 17 kills.

Still searching for their first conference win of the season, the Boxers will travel to Willamette on Friday and nationally-ranked Linfield on Saturday.
