• Portland State coach Tim Walsh worries about special teams play against Montana, even though a recovered kickoff fumble and a big Kenneth Mackins return helped PSU win 20-10 at Weber State last week. 'What's scary is how well they're playing on special teams -great,' Walsh says of Montana. 'I'm expecting us to come out and have a little better attitude in how we play special teams.' He also says the offensive line has to take charge against Montana.

• Montana QB Josh Swogger, a 6-5 senior who played in 18 games for Washington State, impressed Sacramento State coach Steve Mooshagian in last weekend's 59-14 Griz win, a week after he sat out with a broken little finger on his nonthrowing left hand. 'He's got the talent to be playing on Sundays,' Mooshagian tells the Great Falls Tribune.

The Grizzlies scored on nine of 12 possessions. 'If they play like this, they are not going to lose a game,' Mooshagian says.
