Gophers strike three times to beat Centennial

The Gresham boys soccer team scored three times in the last 20 minutes to get past Centennial 3-1 on Tuesday night.

Adrian Buturoaga scored the game-winner off a corner kick with 10:10 left in the game.

'We love playing together, and try to keep things positive,' Buturoaga said. 'This was a breakthrough win for us tonight.'

Gresham goalie Nick Norris finished with 11 saves, including several to maintain the lead down the stretch.

The win pushes the Gophers into the top half of the Mount Hood standings with a 3-2-1 record.

In other Mount Hood Conference action, Barlow scored three times in the first half to put away David Douglas 3-0.
