More than 100 people, including at least a couple mayors, showed up for the second annual Mayors' Ball at the Forest Grove Senior Center. Although organizers of the event haven't tallied up the receipts, center director Lucy Warren said the event 'was a great success' that 'exceeded our expectations.' Guests, including Forest Grove Mayor Richard Kidd and his wife, Christine, were treated to a meal of Buffalo tenderloin stuffed with blue cheese and a lively auction of donated items, from weekend get-aways to a new bicycle. And, being a ball, the evening ended with the mellow tunes of the Bret Lucich Band, sponsored by Mike and Becky Hundley. 'The band played until 11 and we had people out there on the dance floor going nuts,' said special events coordinator Don Breen. 'It was a fabulous night.'
