Estacada High School's girls soccer team celebrated a win Thursday night for the first time since Oct. 25, 2004.

Leah Lamb scored the game-winning goal with 7:52 remaining in the Capital Conference game at Buzz Randall Field. The Lady Rangers scored again off an Emily Lewis corner kick. The final score was 2-0.

'It wasn't pretty soccer, but it was a win,' said EHS coach Rick Mudrow.

Kelly Lewis, Emily's older sister, scored a hat trick for the Lady Rangers at Lewis and Clark College to lead Estacada to a 3-0 victory over first-year Riverdale High School in 2004.

Then, in 2005, the Lady Rangers didn't win a single game all season, but now, Mudrow says his girls have finally put together all the pieces.

'There will be more,' he said.

Estacada is now 1-4-0 overall and 1-2-0 in league. Their first chance at another win came Tuesday at Gladstone. Results weren't available at press time.

Estacada will host Cascade at 6 p.m. on Thursday.
