History most enjoyable

The section of the Regal Courier, (King City Festival of Music Special Issue in September) telling about the early days of King City and some of the residents made for interesting reading. We lived there from 1969 to 1977. I recall the opening of McCann's, also Kienows . . . Tebo's Restaurant, and the many clubs with their banners displayed in the King City Civic Association Town Hall. It was a friendly place.

Thank you for bringing back memories of some happy times shared with our good friends we made there.

Vote no on measures 41 and 48

The King City Democratic Club met on Friday, September 8th, and unanimously voted to support Defend Oregon's positions against Oregon State Ballot Measures Number 41 and 48. The club, by a unanimous vote, contributed fifty dollars to DEFEND OREGON to assist them in this endeavor.

Our club thanks Mara Gross for her clear presentation on this matter and her immediate responses to questions from the floor. This made it easier for the members to understand and decide to also vote against those two ballot measures.
