About 130 people gathered at the Grand Lodge in Forest Grove Sunday to mark International Peace Day. Some came to release live doves, others carried giant dove puppets and the rest, under the direction of Hood River artist Daniel Dancer, formed a peaceful pattern on the ground.

'It was a great day,' said Charlie Graham, a a sixth-grade teacher who's organized events for the past three years.
